Thumbs-up and a friendly smile from a stranger. The beginning of another travel-story: I was invited to a friend’s wedding in Mexico and spent the weekend there.
Why I am writing these words: I am going to share a bit about my friend, a Mexican who moved here about 10 years ago. We meet every year for a celebration here in Phoenix where his family members and friends from Mexico celebrate his birthday. It was an amazing day and it was definitely a highlight of the trip.
My friend’s wife is from Mexico, a country I have not been before. Mexico and its people had so many unique cultures. I have an issue with all these people, mostly tourists. There is no time for people to appreciate the culture of the country being a host of a wedding is often overlooked.
I am just a traveler and I do not think or care about these kinds of things. I have traveled to many places, but I prefer to do the research and go to where I already know what I want to do or see.
My friend’s husband invited us for the 10th year we met up, and it was a different experience for all of us….
