London trip
I got off the plane in Liverpool in one piece, despite being stuck in a queue for luggage for around an in-flight mile and not having an easy way to get to the car in the case of any delays. I got a lift with two old ladies on their way to a London theatre who offered me a lift back to Liverpool when I wasn’t travelling. The car that was waiting for me on the platform was an old Opel that was going to be pulled by a crane for some construction, then be sold. When I said I was heading to London and was keen on getting there via the train it wasn’t something I would have done without having the ticket printed or having a contact book. It took me a whole hour to get into London: it was a small but busy station, with a bunch of people wandering around at all times and lots of people on the train itself to get to the capital.
